is distributed under the [Crab Canon Restricted Use License](./LICENSE).

  engine snapshot has a separate [MIT license](./releases/5039030bbd83439cd1f1/assets/agents/vendor/surface-games/LICENSE).

The earlier Surface Games 0.3.0 release carried the MIT license. The new
license does not withdraw permissions already granted for earlier copies.
The bundled MIT components remain reusable under their existing terms.

The board-centered layout takes visual inspiration from [Lishogi](https://lishogi.org/).
Crab Canon uses original interface code and piece geometry; it does not
bundle Lishogi code, branding or artwork. Chess, shogi and Go are traditional
games; this project does not claim ownership of them.
